River's Edge Brewing Company in Milford, Michigan commissioned Nicole Ray to create an illustration featuring the owner's French bulldog, Benny, to be used as a beer can label for a new brew named Chubby Benny.
Chubby Benny is an Imperial Stout aged in 16-year 1792 Bourbon barrels with a ton Mindo cacao nibs. Benny is seen decked out in an Imperial-esque uniform, but also with paddling gear since the brewery sits at the edge of a river.
This illustration and hand-lettering was created with linework drawn by hand in ink on paper and color added in Adobe Photoshop by Nicole Ray. AI was not used in the creation of this illustration.
